Return of the Blue Mountain People

In this fast-paced tale of mystery and crackling suspense, a wounded U.S. Marine Afghan vet returns to his family’s Arizona ranch and finds the past has somehow invaded the present.  Nick Diaz encounters a knife-wielding, oddly dressed young woman at a remote spring. Threatened by smugglers, puzzled by local changes, reliant on prosthetics, Nick untangles multiplying mysteries, and forms an uneasy bond with the trespassing woman in order to stay alive.

Meanwhile, a group of children, ages 4 to 17, descendants of "renegade" Chiricahua Apaches believed gone since the 1930's, journey north from the Sierra Madre mountains of Mexico searching for people of their own blood. Trained to remain “invisible” to survive, their goal is challenged by law enforcement, drug runners, and vigilantes on both sides of the border. Did the Apache Wars actually end when Geronimo surrendered in 1886? Can the children find their way to safety?
